The city is home to 172 large-scale enterprises engaged in the manufacturing and sales of special vehicles and their components, with total assets exceeding 5 billion yuan. Among these, 16 companies hold national qualifications for special vehicle production, while others are actively developing specialized applications. The city currently has an annual production capacity of 70,000 special vehicles, 30,000 chassis, 30,000 bodies, and 3 million wheels. Suizhou produces over 300 types of special vehicles across 62 categories, including fuel tankers, oil trucks, aircraft refueling vehicles, liquefied gas transporters, cryogenic liquid transporters, chemical liquid transporters, powder material carriers, bulk cement trucks, concrete mixers, greenery sprayers, water supply trucks, fire engines, grass seed spreaders, truck-mounted cranes, dump trucks, sanitation vehicles, mobile battery vehicles, and more. Its tank car market share exceeds 40%, with fuel tankers and sanitation vehicles leading the nation in production and sales. Steel wheel production also ranks first nationwide, with over 2.28 million units sold annually. The city boasts a strong talent pool, with 1,285 senior professionals and over 16,000 skilled workers in the automotive sector. Suizhou is also recognized as a national model for vocational education, hosting more than 30 technical schools with over 30,000 students. These institutions play a vital role in training future workers for the special vehicle industry. Innovation is a key focus for local manufacturers.
