USA has "Silicon Valley male" and Japan has "tram boy". Shanghai is now popular as "Zhang Jiangnan".

The so-called “Zhang Jiangnan” refers to the white-collar workers who work in Shanghai's Zhangjiang High-Tech Park. Originally because of its scientific and technological background and conciliatory language expressions, it is conceptualized. Now it has developed into a fashionable landscape in Shanghai.

Self-proclaimed "Zhang Jiangnan", engineer Yan Hongyan began working in Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in 2005. Recently, he was selected as one of the "Zhangjiang Talents" of the year.

Heads, plain glasses, this is his first impression to reporters. Although he was well-dressed in an interview, Miao Hongyan said that there is very little official formal dress. In winter, it is generally a combination of “down jacket, jeans, and sports shoes”.

Although it is not fashionable and formal, the dress of “Zhang Jiangnan” has become a new trend. A white-collar-created "Diary of Zhang Jiangnan Q" has such descriptions: messy hair, valgus collar, exposed clothing hem, and shoulder bag.

Even popular white-collar workers here have such a popular saying: "Today, are you 'Zhang Jiangnan'?"

From USA "Silicon Valley Man" to Shanghai "Zhang Jiangnan", this type of group has become a social trend. There is no shortage of development characteristics of a city. In Shanghai, where finance is a "label," "creating in China" has become increasingly important.

Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park was established in 1992. It is dominated by bio-medicine, low-carbon new energy, and is one of the world's high-tech parks with potential for development.
