In order to further improve the efficiency of appraisal of production approval certificates for pesticide renewal products, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced on June 13 the “Implementation Rules for the Pilot Application of Pesticide Replacement Productsâ€. It is planned to select three provinces (cities) of Zhejiang, Chongqing and Jiangsu as pilot provinces for the review of pesticide renewal products. The trial period will be from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013. In order to ensure that the assessment criteria for the renewal product experts of the pilot provinces are consistent with the national requirements, it is proposed to use the experts appointed by the Raw Materials Industry Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to participate in the monthly renewal product expert review committee of the pilot provinces for joint assessment. The pilot provinces will report directly to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to apply for change of pesticide product production approval certificate application materials. They will no longer be commissioned by the China National Association of Pesticide Industry to conduct a public inspection directly on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. If there is no objection during the publicity period, they will apply for renewal record filing procedures. If there is any objection during the publicity period, they shall participate in the review of the experts led by the China Pesticide Industry Association of the month. During the pilot period, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will gradually expand the scope of pilot provinces according to the needs of the work to further improve work efficiency.
