**CNC Equipment Installation and Environmental Requirements**
First, the foundation requirements for CNC equipment. In actual use, many users neglect the installation environment of the machine tools. For heavy and precision CNC machines, manufacturers typically provide a foundation layout diagram. Users should prepare the foundation in advance, and after maintenance, the foundation should enter a stable phase before installation. Heavy-duty and precision machines must have a stable base; otherwise, their accuracy cannot be adjusted, and even after adjustment, it may change again. Some small and medium-sized CNC machines do not require special foundations. According to GB 50040-1996 "Power Machinery Foundation Design Code," the following should be considered: General design requirements, equipment model, size, weight, center of gravity, base outline, auxiliary equipment, pipeline locations, grouting thickness, anchor bolt positions, vibration data, and nearby building information. The foundation should be separated from the building’s structure, and if pipelines vibrate significantly, isolation measures are needed. Foundations must avoid harmful settlement. Anchor bolts should meet depth and spacing requirements, with concrete thickness under them not less than 50mm. Table 1 shows the required concrete thickness for various machine tools based on length and height. CNC equipment classification includes small (under 100kN), large (100–300kN), and heavy (300–1000kN). Manufacturers should also provide external dimensions and weight distribution for accurate foundation design. Heavy and precision machines need separate bases, with proper size and thickness as per standards. If deformation affects accuracy, reinforcement is necessary. For soft ground, pre-compression measures are recommended. Precision machines should be isolated from high-vibration sources. Vibration isolation trenches or materials can be used. Proper power supply is crucial. Voltage fluctuations must stay within ±10% to -15%, and AC voltage regulators are advised. Power cords should be directly connected to switches for safety. Compressed air systems must be clean and dry, with proper pressure and flow. Finally, the working environment should maintain a constant temperature (0–35°C) and humidity below 75%. Avoid direct sunlight, dust, and corrosive gases. Installing CNC machines in air-conditioned areas improves precision and reduces thermal deformation.
