The ZY1200 automatic new wall brick hydroforming machine, developed by Luoyang Zhongye Heavy Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., made its official debut at the China SME Innovation and Development Achievement Exhibition held from July 19th to 22nd. This groundbreaking machine has generated significant interest, as it is reported to be the first of its kind in the Henan market. Before its introduction, there was a clear gap in the local industry for such advanced technology. According to available information, the ZY1200 has secured seven domestic technical patents. It addresses many of the common shortcomings found in both domestic and international molding machines. Designed as a high-tech system that integrates mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and wall construction technologies, this equipment is widely used across various sectors, including power generation, metallurgy, and chemical industries. Each unit can process nearly 100,000 tons of industrial waste annually, such as pulverized coal, fly ash, slag, and calcium carbide slag, transforming them into valuable building materials. Ai Xin, assistant general manager of China Metallurgical Heavy Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., expressed enthusiasm when speaking with China Modern Enterprise News. He emphasized that the ZY1200 has drawn considerable attention due to its ability to convert industrial waste into bricks through steam processing. This not only helps reduce environmental pollution but also promotes resource recycling, turning waste into valuable assets. Historically, the development of autoclaved fly ash bricks has been hindered by the lack of large-scale hydroforming equipment. Prior to 2005, most fully automatic hydroforming systems used in China were imported or adapted from ceramic presses. While imported equipment offered stable performance, it came at a high cost—three to four times more than domestic alternatives. Additionally, spare parts were often difficult to obtain, causing production delays. Domestic equipment, although cheaper, suffered from instability and failed to meet expected output levels, leading many companies to struggle financially. To address these challenges, China Metallurgical Heavy Industry restructured its operations and focused on developing hydraulic forming equipment tailored for the Chinese market. The company invested heavily in R&D, collaborating with universities, research institutes, and wall material producers. By leveraging its own expertise in large-scale equipment manufacturing and automation, the company established a dedicated technical center and formed a specialized team for new wall material equipment development. With over 5 million yuan invested, the company combined foreign hydroforming technology with its own experience to create an independent, high-performance solution. The ZY1200 now stands as the most advanced and automated equipment in China, offering ease of operation, safety, and full intellectual property rights. It represents a major breakthrough in sustainable and efficient industrial waste utilization.
