It was learned from the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that the Sanya Submarine Observation and Demonstration System, which was jointly completed by the Institute and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was officially put into operation recently, achieving the effects of key technical research and demonstration. This marks the successful completion of China's first truly meaningful and fully functional submarine observation demonstration system.
The project is one of the national “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” major scientific infrastructure projects, aiming to comprehensively improve China's ocean observation capability and equipment research and development level, and lay a solid foundation for China to build a larger-scale seabed observation network.
As China's first submarine observation demonstration system, Sanya submarine observation demonstration system consists of shore base station, 2 km optical cable, 1 main connection box based on independent technology and 1 secondary connection box, 3 sets of observation equipment, 1 acoustic gateway. The node is composed of three observation nodes and has an extended function. The shore base station provides 10kv high-voltage direct current, and the connection box is placed on the seabed at a depth of 20 meters.
According to reports, the submarine observing system integrates key technologies such as connection box, energy signal transmission and processing, underwater acoustic communication technology and optical fiber sensing technology and system technology, and can be plugged and unplugged under high voltage direct current transmission and distribution technology. Significant breakthroughs have been made in connector application technology, network transmission and information fusion technologies.
The demonstration system was led by the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and jointly completed by the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Acoustics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It is a pilot experiment in the construction of the Chinese seabed observation network.

It can greatly reduce the larbor forces. Firstly, operator needs to load the  armature core to the required tooling position. Then close the safety door. Machine will do the testing process. Tje testing items can be set as per customer's requirement, including insulation resistance, hi-pot resistance, resisitance, and ect.
