1 , the meaning

Fresh vegetables still have complex physiological and biological changes during the sale process. During the breathing process, vegetables absorb oxygen, generate carbon dioxide and ethylene gas, and reduce their own moisture. Therefore, low concentration of oxygen and ethylene, high concentration of carbon dioxide, low temperature, high humidity and aseptic environment are more conducive to the preservation of fresh vegetables and extend the shelf life. At present, in order to maintain the freshness of vegetables and increase shelf life, fresh-keeping packaging is used for such new packaging technologies. One of the most widely used fresh-keeping packagings is Modified Atmosphere Packaging ( MAP ), which regulates the proportion of various gases in the package during storage to ensure that the decay and deterioration of vegetables are suppressed.

Modified atmosphere packaging replaces the air inside the package and fills the atmosphere of the vegetables with carbon dioxide, nitrogen, oxygen and other gases in a certain proportion. Among them, carbon dioxide can inhibit the growth and reproduction of most spoilage bacteria and molds; oxygen can inhibit the growth of most anaerobic bacteria and maintain the respiratory metabolism of fresh vegetables in their fresh state; nitrogen as an inert gas can be used as a filling gas to prevent the gas in packaging. The resulting packaging collapses and does not produce any absorption or chemical effects with the vegetables. Therefore, in order to prevent the oxygen in the outside air from affecting the gas composition in the interior of the package, the modified atmosphere packaging requires a packaging material with a relatively high oxygen barrier property. How to monitor the barrier properties of packaging materials to oxygen, this article will use the OX2/230 oxygen permeability test system independently developed by Jinan Languang Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. to test the oxygen transmission rate of air-conditioned fresh-keeping packaging composite membranes.

2 , the status quo

The oxygen barrier test method for plastic packaging is divided into equal pressure method and differential pressure method. 4.1 Test principle

OX2/230 uses the isobaric test principle. The pre-treated sample is clamped between the test chambers. Oxygen flows on one side of the membrane and high-purity nitrogen flows on the other side of the membrane. Oxygen molecules diffuse through the membrane into the high-purity nitrogen in the other side and are carried by the flowing nitrogen to the internal coulomb electricity sensor. The sensor can release four electrons when absorbing every oxygen molecule, utilizing the oxygen molecules and electrons. The linearly proportional relationship of the quantity is used to calculate the oxygen transmission rate. This process is not affected by the osmotic concentration and sensor environment changes. For packaging containers, high-purity nitrogen flows in the container, and air or high-purity oxygen surrounds the outside of the container.

5 , the test process

6 , test results
