Datong City Government Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with CNHTC
On November 17, the Datong City People's Government of Shanxi Province signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China National Heavy Duty Truck (Sinotruk), marking a new phase in their collaboration. The partnership will focus on key areas such as engines, superchargers, and vehicle manufacturing, aiming to drive innovation and growth in the local industrial sector.
This move aligns with the strategic vision of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee to promote "leapfrog development" and strengthen the equipment manufacturing industry. Recognizing the importance of attracting high-quality investment, Datong took proactive steps to bring Sinotruk on board as a strategic partner. After nearly four months of detailed planning and negotiations, both parties reached a strategic reorganization agreement. Under this deal, Dazai Group will become an essential component supplier for Sinotruk, providing 150,000 heavy truck transmission units over the next five years.
To further expand the scope of cooperation and deepen mutual benefits, the Datong City Government has also entered into a separate strategic cooperation agreement with Sinotruk. This broader partnership will involve multiple key projects, including engine development, supercharger production, vehicle assembly, modified and special vehicles, construction machinery, automotive logistics, and commercial banking. The goal is to create a win-win situation that supports long-term economic growth and industrial upgrading in the region.
By strengthening ties with industry leaders like Sinotruk, Datong is positioning itself as a key player in the national manufacturing landscape, fostering innovation, creating jobs, and contributing to the broader goal of regional economic revitalization.
