From January to May this year, the company's heavy truck production reached 40,447 units, representing a year-on-year decline of 10.17%. Meanwhile, sales totaled 32,096 units, down by 16.98% compared to the same period last year. In May alone, the company produced 7,010 heavy trucks and sold 8,171 units.
Notably, the company also disclosed that the actual controller of China Heavy-Duty Vehicle Group Co., Ltd. had reported to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers that the group's output in May 2009 was 9,370 units, with sales reaching 12,110 units. For the first five months of this year, the group’s cumulative production amounted to 56,551 units, a decrease of 10.98% year-on-year, while cumulative sales stood at 58,086 units, reflecting a 4.28% drop.
Importantly, these figures include Sinotruk’s production and sales data, highlighting the broader performance of the group as a whole. The numbers indicate a challenging market environment for the heavy truck industry, with both production and sales showing declines in key periods.
This data provides insight into the current state of the sector and may signal potential shifts in demand or supply chain dynamics. As the industry continues to evolve, monitoring these trends will be crucial for stakeholders and investors alike.
