Instead of making EVs park next to a charger, this charger can come to the car. The electric vehicle revolution is here, but we still have a long way to go before it’s fully embraced. One of the biggest challenges is the lack of charging infrastructure. While some people can easily install a charger at home, others—especially those in multi-family or commercial spaces—face major hurdles. That’s where a new solution called Ziggy could make a big difference. Ziggy is a mobile EV charger developed by EV Charge Safe. Unlike traditional chargers, which require cars to come to them, Ziggy brings the power to the vehicle. This makes it ideal for places where installing fixed charging stations is difficult or impractical. “We heard from customers who wanted a portable charger with built-in power,†said Caradoc Ehrenhalt, CEO of EV Charge Safe. “Ziggy is the first solution that offers both level 2 and DC fast charging on wheels.†Currently, Ziggy is being tested in various locations, including Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The unit is designed to move within a geofenced area, delivering charging power to vehicles without requiring permanent installation. It also features digital displays for advertising, similar to other public charging stations. Although the company acknowledges the risk of vandalism, Ziggy is equipped with cameras, GPS, and sensors to monitor its surroundings. Plus, it’s placed in controlled environments, reducing the likelihood of damage. While Ziggy isn’t going into full-time service just yet, it will be part of a series of demonstrations at DFW this summer. If you’re planning to park an EV there, you may even get a chance to test it out yourself.
Ziggy looks like a small box on wheels, with a powerful battery and all the necessary electronics inside. It can charge EVs using level 2 AC or, in the future, DC fast charging. The unit can be charged off-site and then deployed to different locations as needed. It’s especially useful in areas where permanent charging stations aren’t feasible. From airports to shopping centers, Ziggy offers a flexible and efficient way to provide power without the hassle of installation or permits. EV Charge Safe is already working on expanding Ziggy’s capabilities and testing it in real-world conditions. The upcoming demo at DFW is just the beginning, and if successful, it could pave the way for more mobile charging solutions across the country. https://arstechnica.com/cars/2023/05/dallas-airport-will-demo-this-cute-little-mobile-ev-charging-robot/ Screw Type Oil Expeller,Automatic Oil Press Machine,Oil Expeller Machine,Oil Expeller, soybean oil extraction machine for sale, vegetable oil extraction machine, organic expeller pressed canola oil Mianyang Xinyu Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd , https://www.xypressring.comZiggy Makes Its Way to Dallas
