The Chicago Fire Department received a call about a fire in a three-story building located on 6308 South Halsted Street. - An incident commander will hold a press briefing in five minutes on the corner of 63rd and Halsted Streets, adjacent to the site of the third-alarm fire.
- At 0305 hours, the third-alarm status was officially lifted. While no civilian evacuations or transports were necessary, crews remain on-scene to address any lingering hotspots. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
