The investigation of the fraudulent use of new energy vehicles began on January 21 this year. On the same day, the four ministries and commissions jointly issued the "Notice on Carrying out the Verification of the Application and Promotion of New Energy Vehicles", which was fully carried out in the country. According to the reporter's understanding, the key investigation area delineated at that time was the Yangtze River Delta region. The investigation team selected two key provinces: Zhejiang Province and Jiangsu Province.

At the same time, the four ministries did not relax their investigations in other parts of the country. Affected by fraudulent investigations, although the past four months have passed in 2016, the new round of local subsidies and related promotion policies for new energy vehicles have not yet reached the stage. At present, only about 20 provinces and municipalities have issued specific policies, and the rest remain In the wait and see. Affected by this, the terminal sales of new energy vehicles in many cities have been stagnant, and the construction of charging piles and battery supply related to the industrial chain have also been implicated.

"In addition to Beijing, foreign cities are in a policy gap period, and markets outside Beijing are also in a semi-stagnation state." However, with the end of the fraudulent investigation, local policies will be introduced one after another, and the development of new energy vehicles will return to the fast-growing lane.

What is more noteworthy is that while the fraudulent investigations are being carried out, the conscious policy adjustments of relevant departments have also begun. In addition to the blacklisting system mentioned above and the entry barriers, the new model is gradually being explored in terms of subsidies.
