Liu Hanru talked: With the acceleration of globalization and accession to the WTO, China's automobile industry has developed rapidly, becoming the world's largest new car market, and China has become a major automobile manufacturer. However, it cannot be said that we are the world’s automobile manufacturing power. In today's globalization, China must become a powerful automobile country. Enterprises must face the international market and achieve development in the process of globalization. This must solve two problems: one is to build strong competitiveness, and the other is to be international.

Occupy International Leading Technology Highlands

Chairman Liu Hanru said that looking at the world's leading international companies, their successes are without exception adhere to the strategy of driving technological innovation, such as the current Microsoft, Apple, Alibaba and so on. The status quo of China’s autos must be less than necessary to take the original path of the West’s way. It must be based on the national conditions and the characteristics of each enterprise to explore a path that suits its own characteristics.

Our early Hualing heavy truck project takes the path of introducing, digesting and absorbing new innovations. After mastering the technology of the new-generation heavy-duty chassis, we started the development of second-generation heavy-duty truck technology and core components such as engines and transmissions. However, no foreign companies are willing to transfer the most advanced core technologies to us. Therefore, the path of introduction, digestion, absorption and re-innovation alone will not work, and only new development models can be explored.

Combining with the needs of enterprise development, we have also explored the road of “integrating international technology for my own use”, that is, through joint development with foreign R&D institutions to jointly develop new products, and the intellectual property rights are “I”. At the end of 2013, our Xingkaima heavy trucks equipped with self-developed engines, transmissions and axles won Anhui Science and Technology Award. The project is currently applying for the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Liu Hanru profoundly stated that the world is a rich resource base and that in order to occupy the technological highland, in addition to direct product technology cooperation, the following aspects are very important: First, the construction and cultivation of a technological innovation talent system. The second is to actively seek the support of scientific and technological resources of domestic universities and research institutes. The third is to establish a broad strategic cooperation alliance. In recent years, through cooperation, R&D designers have mastered a set of advanced product R&D process management and technologies. They have also made positive progress in key technologies and basic research. At the same time, they will use the R&D and engineering capabilities that have been formed over the years to unite. The results of the development are transformed into productivity within the company and an independent innovative brand product is formed.

Liu Hanru said with joy that although there is still a certain gap between China's auto technology level and world-class standards, we can clearly feel that this gap is narrowing in recent years. In particular, the position of China's commercial vehicles in the international market is increasingly important. It is thanks to the fact that domestic companies have grasped the key point of technological progress.

Create a world-class manufacturing base

Chairman Liu believes that the gap between China's auto industry and foreign countries is manifold. If it does not catch even the world's top-level standards in terms of the most easily realized hardware, then what product competitiveness and quality of excellence should be discussed? Empty words. To build world-class quality cars, we must have world-class equipment and world-class management.

In May 2002, our 10,000 heavy truck project broke ground and was completed and put into operation in 2004. At that time, the advanced equipment we introduced was not only first-class in China, but also many international equipment companies such as Mitsubishi did not have, and it was regarded as the most advanced heavy truck production base in China at the time.

After the construction of 10,000 heavy truck production bases, our production and sales volume has been rising year after year, and we have achieved bulk exports. However, the domestic heavy-duty truck industry has developed rapidly. Afterwards, many advanced production bases have been built one after another. As a result, our advantages are not obvious, and production capacity has quickly become a bottleneck for the development of the company. The rapid development of China's infrastructure construction, road transport, and mining industry has broad prospects for the domestic heavy truck market. In this context, Valin began to build a more advanced, higher-capacity heavy truck production base - a single class with an annual output of 50,000 heavy truck bases.

The 50,000 heavy truck project broke ground in 2008 and was completed and put into operation in 2013. The new base in the plant design, embodies today's advanced design concepts, more secure and environmentally friendly, lighting and ventilation effects are very good; production process equipment used are today's advanced equipment at home and abroad, intelligent management tools, management methods intensive Huanhua is a heavy truck production base with a high degree of automation and advanced management in China. The entire 50,000 heavy-duty trucks project is a “magnificent” and it has laid a solid foundation for us to further expand the market scale and enhance the company’s strength.

In 2007, we started the engine project. With high engine technology content and positioning of high-end products, the requirements for production conditions are even higher.

The first phase of Valin Engine Production Base covers an area of ​​more than 40,000 square meters and there are three production lines—cylinder head machining, cylinder machining and assembly lines. It not only realizes automation but also has a high degree of intelligence. It is also embodied in another domestic unique technology-process design flexible production line. At present, most of the domestic and foreign engine manufacturers are dedicated line production, a production line can only produce one type of engine. Our Hanma 10L and 12L engines can be produced on the same production line, which is a flexible production line and is today's advanced production line. Concentrated the world's advanced heavy-duty engine production process equipment!

Build a global benchmarking supply system
Liu Hanruer talked about the supply system. His production, automobile manufacturing is a very complicated project, there are more than 20,000 parts only, any one link, any part of the problem, the car is unqualified.

He said that we must admit that there is still a big gap between China's auto supply system and foreign countries in terms of core technology and manufacturing level! With the deepening of globalization, the world is increasingly becoming a unified big market. Boeing aircraft are resources from all over the world. Why can't we develop our cars in the global mind? As long as we are good at integrating global advantageous resources, innovating, and turning these resources into our own, and forming advantages, the Chinese automobile will be able to succeed!

Liu Hanru said that Valin’s early products were imported from Japan’s Mitsubishi technology, and key parts and components supply were mainly from Japan. After absorbing and re-innovating, the company has integrated the best quality supporting resources in the country, and has obvious price advantage compared with the earlier products. The benefit of integrating international spare parts resources is that their global service network is relatively complete and their service capabilities are also very strong. After our vehicle products enter the international market, we can use their service system to better meet foreign customers. The need for service. It played a crucial role in our early entry into the international market.

The most obvious manifestation of the global supply system is our engine. Because our engine is positioned as an international high-end product, the domestic supporting system cannot be satisfied for the time being. This determines that our engine's supporting system must adopt international top products. For example: Our starter and high-pressure fuel system is Germany's Bosch, the turbocharger is Honeywell's, the shock absorber is German Hansen's, the connecting rod is Germany's Mahler's, and the cylinder brake is the United States.
