Here's a report from Eric Haak:

The Calumet Park Fire Department was called to a structure on the 12400 block of South Honore around 7:20 PM on Monday, July 21, 2014. The first engine and truck arrived within two minutes, showing quick response time. Upon arrival, firefighters found the residents outside and heavy smoke coming from the front door. They quickly entered the home and discovered the fire had started in a back bedroom. Within three minutes of their arrival, the fire was under control and contained. Fortunately, the fire didn’t spread to other rooms or the attic. Additional help came from Posen, Midlothian, Merrionette Park, and Riverdale via auto-aid.

Eric Haak captured several powerful images of the incident, showing firefighters in action during the emergency. The photos include firefighters entering the house with thick smoke, flames bursting from a window, water hitting the fire, and firefighters using tools like axes and saws. One image shows a firefighter on the roof, while another features an HME fire truck at the scene. These photos give a real-time view of how quickly and professionally the department responded to the call.
