This is from Eric Haak: The Chicago Heights Fire Department responded to a MABAS Box call on Saturday morning, February 6th, for a fire at a Walmart under construction located at 21000 S. Western Avenue. From what I could see, the fire appeared to be caused by construction materials inside the building and didn't seem to involve the structural framework. There were two aerial ladder trucks on scene and fully deployed, but no water was applied to the roof. I wasn’t allowed to get any closer than the construction fence, so all the photos here were taken from a distance. Still, I managed to capture a few shots of the responding units.
