When it comes to enhancing your design and engineering workflows, there are countless applications available to complement and extend the capabilities of Autodesk software. But how do you ensure that the tools you choose will deliver optimal results? That's where the newly launched Autodesk Certified Apps program comes into play. This initiative recognizes applications from Autodesk partners that have achieved the prestigious Autodesk Certified logo, signifying excellence in quality, compatibility, and seamless integration with Autodesk products. This program, which commenced this month, initially focuses on certifying apps for Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault. However, this is just the beginning—over time, additional Autodesk products and services may join the Autodesk Certified Apps family. To showcase the practical benefits of using an Autodesk Certified App alongside Autodesk Inventor or Autodesk Vault, let’s look at two real-world examples from Fluke Corporation and Elastec/American Marine. Fluke Corporation, renowned globally for manufacturing electronic test equipment, transitioned from their legacy PTC Pro/INTRALINK 3.4 system (which was no longer supported by PTC) to Autodesk Vault Professional. Their challenge was to complete this migration without disrupting ongoing design and engineering activities. Utilizing an Autodesk Certified App developed by Nexxtsoft called nxMigrator for Pro/INTRALINK, Fluke successfully migrated one server to a replicated global server environment involving 45 seats and 60GB of engineering data. This move not only ensured a smooth transition but also resulted in significant savings of over $200K in maintenance costs. Today, Fluke leverages Autodesk Vault Professional to manage its Pro/ENGINEER data effectively. “I no longer stress about whether some software update could disrupt our drafting processes. With Autodesk Vault Professional, we have a reliable data management solution that simply works,” remarked Barry Schaeffer, CAD Manager at Fluke. Elastec/American Marine, a leading manufacturer of oil spill and environmental cleanup equipment, is equally innovative. Recently, they won the X PRIZE for developing the most effective oil recovery device. To stay agile and swiftly address customer customization requests, the company requires flexibility akin to that of a job shop capable of rapid response. Elastec/American Marine employs Autodesk Inventor along with an Autodesk Certified App named FAB Professional from Striker Systems to streamline their workflow. This integration transforms 3D part models into nested 2D sheet metal files for CNC production, enabling faster prototyping, drastically reducing job times from days to mere minutes, and optimizing outsourcing processes. “In just an hour, we can nest an entire week’s worth of work using Inventor and Striker Systems,” noted Jeff Elliot, Design Engineer at Elastec/American Marine. In a special podcast episode of *In the Fold*, Peter Vinh, Senior Product Manager at Autodesk, discusses the new certification program and outlines the criteria required for an application to earn the Autodesk Certified status. Conical Twin Screw Barrel

The conical twin screw is different from the parallel twin screw in appearance. Its two ends have different diameters. The diameter of the feeding section is large, while the diameter of the homogenization section is small, and the middle is gradually transitioned. The conical twin-screw is a meshing type, and most of them are counter-rotating.
