The growth and development of crops are inseparable from the support of N, P and K. Their absorption, assimilation and transport directly affect the growth status of crops and ultimately affect the yield and quality of crops. Different crops, even the same growing season, have different fertilizer requirements. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are coordinated and invested in proportion to provide balanced nutrition for crops. It is an ideal fertilization mode. In addition, rational application of chemical fertilizers can also improve the quality of agricultural products, increase soil fertility, and avoid adverse effects on the environment. This experiment took early, middle and late rice as the research object, and adopted multi-species and multi-point tests to conduct comparative research on the formula fertilization and conventional fertilization. Through many years of tests of soil testing and formula fertilizing instrument, it aims to objectively evaluate the effect of soil testing and formula fertilization in order to provide scientific basis for the application of soil testing and formula fertilization technology in Ji'an City.

The experiment adopts a multi-point non-repetitive design with a total of three treatments: soil testing and fertilizer application area, conventional (farmer-used) fertilizer application area and blank area (without any fertilizer area). The area of the plot is 200m2. A 40cm-wide isolated field ridge is made in a small area, and the field ridge is buried with a plastic film to prevent penetration of fertilizer and water. Each area is separately drained to prevent cross-fertilization. Leave no more than 1m of fertilizing protection around the test area. The selected measuring instrument was a soil testing and formulated fertilizer applicator manufactured by Top Instrument.

Through the determination of soil testing and fertilizer application instrument, it was found that different fertilization treatments for rice in the same season had significant positive effects on the main economic traits. In addition to the fertility rate of mid-season rice, formula fertilization for early, middle and late rice tests showed that plant height, panicle length, number of panicles, number of grains per spike, 1000-grain weight, and seed setting rate all showed stronger advantages than conventional fertilization. Soil testing, formula fertilization has a significant increase in yield than conventional fertilization. For the early, middle and late rice, soil fertilization and conventional fertilization increased rice production by 524.85, 798.50, and 647.15 kg/hm2, respectively.
