The trommel screen is a combined gold mining machine designed specifically for materials containing clay. It includes sieving, separation through the trommel, sluicing, and gold extraction. The unit has a wheeled chassis, allowing it to be transported by vehicle easily.
In terms of operation, the trommel system consists of a rotating drum, framework, funnel, reducer, and motor. As the drum rotates, the material is screened, and centrifugal force helps separate different sizes. Larger particles move along the slope of the drum and are gradually separated through various mesh screens. After screening, different-sized materials fall into respective funnels and either are manually removed or moved to the final product heap.
