Dalian, August 1st. A fire broke out at 8:50 a.m. in the South China Mall in Ganjingzi District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. Six people were trapped and all were rescued by firefighters. At about 11 o'clock, the fire was under control. Up to now, no casualties have been reported, and the mall's internal stores, shops, and nearby gas stations have been closed down.
The reporter saw that near the fire point, the surrounding buildings were covered with thick smoke, the scene can obviously smell the scorching of objects, the traffic police has blocked the road nearby, and the flow of traffic to and from the vehicle. Around the fire point, a cordon has been pulled up, and the fire department has dispatched more than 50 fire engines to carry out fire fighting on the fire scene. The reporter learned from the on-site interview that the location of the fire was the 5th floor of the foreign mall in South China. It was the storehouse used by the mall to store goods. The 200,000-square-meter mall is already closed, and a PetroChina gas station about 200 meters southeast of the fire point has been shut down.
