Dennis McGuire, Jr. shared the following report:

Today at 3500 W. 127th St. in Blue Island, a commercial structure fire was reported. When firefighters arrived, they saw a large plume of smoke rising into the sky, which initially made it look like a serious blaze. However, upon investigation, it turned out to be a small fire originating from the ventilation system of a paint booth inside the building. The fire was quickly brought under control, and no major damage was reported.

The scene was quite intense, with a lot of smoke visible from a distance. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire, and it didn’t take long before the situation was under control. It’s always a relief when something that looks serious turns out to be manageable. Thanks to Dennis for sharing these great photos and the firsthand account of the incident.
