[ China Instrument Network Instrument R&D ] Recently, the Institute of Engineering Physics of China Academy of Engineering Physics has successfully passed the acceptance test after the self-developed high-temperature radiation-resistant accelerometer for nuclear power plants.

The Institute of General Engineering of China Academy of Engineering Physics is affiliated to the China Academy of Engineering Physics and is located in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. The institute is mainly engaged in the overall engineering design of weapons, the development of advanced large scientific experimental equipment, environmental testing and measurement and control, engineering mechanics and materials applications. It involves more than 20 disciplines such as weapon system and application engineering, mechanical design, solid mechanics, engineering mechanics, testing technology, automatic control, materials, etc. It is a comprehensive research institute integrating basic theoretical research and engineering application development.
Nuclear power plant sensors are one of the key components of the nuclear power operation online monitoring system. However, the use of nuclear power plant sensors is harsh and requires long-term reliable operation in high-temperature and high-irradiation environments. The sensors and their preparation processes on the market cannot be met at all.
In a high-radiation environment, each of the materials that make up the sensor is resistant to radiation and remains unchanged after experiencing 108 rad exposure (equivalent to 60 years of irradiation for the nuclear power unit). At the same time, high temperature is also fatal to the sensor. The ordinary sensor has no signal at several hundred degrees Celsius, and it is "hot", and the nuclear power sensor needs to be "stationally" at high temperature to "auscultation". Every failure.
Since 2014, the research team of the General Engineering Research Institute of the China Academy of Engineering Physics has started research and development of high-temperature radiation-resistant acceleration sensors and radiation-resistant acoustic emission sensors for nuclear power. In August 2015, the high-temperature radiation-resistant acceleration sensor of the Chashma nuclear power plant in Pakistan was passed the acceptance test; in October 2017, the radiation-resistant acoustic emission sensor of the Karachi nuclear power plant developed by the institute passed the acceptance test; The radiation acoustic emission sensor passed the acceptance test and was used on the leakage monitoring system of Fujian Fuqing No. 5 and No. 6 units of the first demonstration project of “Hualong No.1”.
The equipment is matched with the leak monitoring system of China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute, and Fuqing No. 5 and No. 6 units of “Hualong No. 1” have been put into use. The delivery of this series of products marks that China has successfully broken the foreign technology blockade and monopoly, and has a localized nuclear power safety monitoring "auscultation pulse" equipment.
