China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation undertook the localization of "Ship Power Plant Complete Equipment Development" project, after nearly two years of scientific research by the relevant units, passed the product technical appraisal on the 19th. This is the first complete set of equipment for automatic ship power plants independently developed in China.

At the press conference held on the 19th, it was learned that the project used a large number of modular and standardized designs, successfully solved many key technical problems in the development of complete sets of equipment for ship power station systems, and achieved many innovations.

The localized “Research and Development of Complete Sets of Ship Power Stations” project aims at the domestically produced automatic power station with a capacity of 7-11 million tons of oil tankers. It has successfully developed a ship power station with independent intellectual property rights, meeting international requirements, adopting upright frame shielding structure and modular design. Main switchboard and emergency switchboard.

At the same time, a power station monitoring system with independent intellectual property rights was also developed. The main generator set has broken through the key technologies for the design and manufacture of major components by introducing digestion and absorption. The localization rate of the whole machine parts has reached more than 70%, and the industrial scale has been formed.

At present, China has become the world's third largest shipbuilding country after Japan and South Korea, and the shipping industry's share in the international market has reached 12%. However, due to the fact that China's ship equipment cannot be independently supported, it has seriously restricted the international competitiveness of China's ship supporting industry, resulting in the actual ship loading rate of China's ship supporting equipment being less than 40%.

The ship power station equipment includes the main generator set, the emergency generator set, and the main/emergency switchboard. It is an important equipment necessary for ship and offshore engineering equipment, and has huge market potential. Therefore, the successful development of the project and the formation of the industrial scale will be a new economic growth point for the Chinese shipbuilding industry, which can directly reduce the shipbuilding cost of the assembly plant and enhance the international competitiveness of China's shipbuilding.
